Shopping in Vegas

You cannot get the great deals in Vegas like you can in NYC and Boston. (Disclaimer-there are outlet malls that you can go to that may provide good deals). I often shop at Desert Passage and Forum Shoppes and like both. There are many, many great stores in both.

Shopping in Vegas

I stopped by the Las Vegas Premium Outlets this past weekend...they have some good stores there. I went *specifically* for the Coach outlet, and got a few pieces at really discounted prices. There are a lot of good outlets in here. They are located just off of the I-15, just a few miles from The Strip.

The outlet store has good deals.

But also try Macys and do not forget that foreign visitors can pick up a discount card there. Bring your passport.

Carly,

Its alot cheaper than NT, never been to Boston so cannot comment.

There are 3 outlet malls so you should be fine :)

Good luck hun!

Just spent 4 days in Vegas and loved the shopping!!!! My best advice re the outlet malls is to log onto their sites and have a look at what shops they%26#39;ve got .

There are not as many shopping opportunities in Vegas as there are in NYC.

Here are the local malls-they sometimes have sales:

This one is very large and is on the strip next to TI:

This is another nice one not far from the strip:

This one is farther out near Sunset Station casino. It is also nice:

Not that crazy about this one:

Then you have the 3 outlet malls: I think this one is the best:

Las Vegas Premium Outlets 875 S. Grand Central Pkwy, I-15 exit 41B, Charleston Blvd. It is an outdoor mall www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp…

This one is a few miles from Mandalay Bay-

Las Vegas Outlet Center 7400 Las Vegas Blvd-it is an indoor mall

This one is about 45 minutes from the strip and I wouldn%26#39;t recommend going just for the shops:

Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas- Primm http:

Each casino has its own shops. The most famous one is in Caesars Palace: Forum Shops.

If you want specific stand-alone shops- K Mart, Walmart, Targets, etc. you are going to have to go to a strip mall(this does not mean it is on the strip. - it is bunch of stores next to each other that have a common parking lot). LV has to be strip mall heaven- there is one, two, or more malls on just about every street, intersection, etc. once you get off the strip.

I was in Vegas the end of November for 6/7 years. The temps can vary a great deal. The average high-low 60%26#39;s. But some years the highs have been in the upper 70%26#39;s while other years the highs never made it out of the 40%26#39;s. It feels much cooler if it is cloudy or windy out. It is in the 30%26#39;s/40%26#39;s at night. It is best to bring clothes that can be layered- mostly tops with long sleeves, a mediumweight cardigan and a lined jacket.
