price is right

has anyone been to the price is right? my husband and i are debating on an issue. I think that if the show time is 2:30 then you would be there for that time, my husband thinks that you have to be there an hour earlier to see who will be actually playing the game. Do you go up on stage or is it all done while sitting in the audience? The 2 posts that i read sounded like no one goes up on stage. can anyone tell me what really goes on and what time you really need to be there?

thanks

price is right

We have not been yet but plan to go in April..from the posts I have read you can be picked from the audience (my understanding that everyone that buys a ticket can be selected) and then you are called up on stage ready to play. All sorts of prizes etc. You spin the wheel and do what happens on the TV show... BUT I know who ever has attended will give us more details. You should go it sounds like alot of fun for an afternoon....maybe you win something wonderful :)

price is right

We were there a couple of weeks ago, it was fun! You have to register before you enter the theatre. This is where you get the Price is Right name tag like you see on tv. Everyone gets one (you have to be 21 to play)

You all have a key pad to answer a multiple choice question and they randomly pick 4 people who answer correctly to bid on the item. From there it%26#39;s played just like on tv. The person who bids closest without going over goes on stage to play a pricing game. Each round new people are called up to bid so you have more chances than you would on the show, but if you don%26#39;t get on stage your first try, that%26#39;s it. My husband got called up, but he didn%26#39;t get on stage which is just as well because it was the golfing game and he can%26#39;t golf. lol He got a shirt though for getting called up.

I would recommend it, we all had a great time and everyone else in the theatre seemed to as well.

And what did it cost?

Also, can you get tickets at the 1/2 price booths?

Thanks,

Mar.

To find info on The Price is Right on this forum, try searching with the acronym TPIR. There are lots of detailed posts on the subject, but if you type in the whole title, you get a lot of unrelated stuff.

rumour has it that it wont be at ballys much longer so go soon if possible

I think it was about $45 a ticket and I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s available at the ticket booths. We ordered ours online before we left.

When I was there the half price ticket places did not have them but if you are staying at Bally%26#39;s you can get a discount. It%26#39;s a fun show.

This is from my NYE trip report. There were several posts on this in early Jan., so you might find additional info if you search previous posts on this topic. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Price is Right- We decided to do this because my mother in law has always dreamed of going to the real show in LA, and we wanted to give her a nice surprise. For Bally%26#39;s guests, you can get tickets for $33 after checking into the hotel ( this is a savings of $10 or more from the usual price). We were seated in a booth right near the stage. This was good because I was called first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine my shock, as I ran up to the microphone and bid $1 on flatware. Anyway, I won the game where you were given four price tags to put on four items within a certain amount of time. You could take the prizes or cash, and I took the $1034 in cash at the end of the show rather than the items. It is a bit different than the tv show, as new people are picked from the audience to spin the wheel and bid in the showcase showdown. Highly recommend (even if I had not won)!

My daughter and I went in Dec. It was a lot of fun. We did not get picked, but the energy is high. When I went to get our tickets at the Bally%26#39;s box office, I showed them my total rewards card and got 25% off the price of the tickets, so they were $33 a piece. We were not staying at Bally%26#39;s but if you have the card you get the discount. I would go again, definately.

yahooo i cant wait to go, i have been looking forward to it all week. So do you have to go earlier than the posted time, or do you go at the posted time and they allow time for the registering?
