It pays to check those hotel rates!

We are going Superbowl weekend 2/2-2/6 staying at NY NY. When I booked 4 months ago, it was $900 for the 4 nights in a skyline room. I%26#39;ve been checking and it went up significantly but then down again. I checked this morning-it%26#39;s now the same as I paid BUT they have the Manhattan nights promo running now, so I get the same price plus all of this!

Sounds great! I have to call and cancel my 1st reservation. Question-has anyone done this promo yet? I will call them when I get out of work but was curious about the spa-what it includes.

i think free admission to a spa means you can use their gym for no charge. obviously there%26#39;ll be a charge if you want a massage/manicure, etc...

I Just checked the rates again and now it%26#39;s $80 less for the 4 nights AND I still get the promo! WOW I never would%26#39;ve thought that the rates would drop the closer we got to Superbowl weekend!

i concur, my 10 nights would cost me an amazing $1150 extra if i was booking now. My 5 nights at the Bellagio alone have increased by $200 per night since time of booking. I would say to everyone book early but keeping checkin%26#39; the rates.

Exactly-I booked 4 months ago because I am an early bird with everything but I still never suspected the rates would drop so close to the dates.. they went up quite a bit for a while so it does pay to keep checking. You never know--may go up but also can come down. :)

$80 more dollars to spend gambling! They knew what they were doing. LOL

If anyone is renting a car- do the same thing. Keep checking the rates. Many times the car rates will drop and you can cancel and rebook at the lower rate. I did that 3 times with one reservation. It wasn%26#39;t a huge savings but it is still nice to save money. That might be the money that allows me to hit a Royal Flush!!!

I can agree with that. I booked and the rates dropped. Rang hotel and they are happy to drop you down to the new rate. Someone on here also posted a promo code and rang up to enquire whether I could apply that and they did that too.

Saved about $200 on 2 nights accomodation I think.

Other advice that is good is book early. Due to All star weekend we are having to split trip across 2 hotels. Flamingo went up in price and is now full. THEHotel is getting cheaper.

OMG it dropped again! Ok I started out at $225 a night for 4 nights. Now it%26#39;s down to $189 a night-It%26#39;s dropped every day this week so far! Gotta call them in a bit. :) I%26#39;m saving $140 over the 4 days!

AND it dropped again!! Now $159 a night! I can%26#39;t believe it%26#39;s still dropping! LOVE it. :) 37 more hours and I%26#39;ll be on that plane!
