Help planning 21st bday bash for son!

Need your help planning a first class 21st birthday bash for son. He plays college football and we will be flying out 4 of his buddies in May after their spring game. Need help with hotel and club for celebration.

Hotels we are looking at: THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, Bellagio suite, Wynn suite

Clubs: Rent VIP Skybox at Tao or Pure

Also looks like Rum Jungle, Rain and Tryst look good and they will probably hit those too, but would Tao or Pure be the ultimates for his actual party? Fortunately, money will not be an object and we want it to be first class for him. THANKS!!!

What ever you do, make sure he doesn%26#39;t set foot in a sports book.

If it was my 21st birthday, I would want to stay at Caesar%26#39;s, THEhotel , Venetian, or Palms. Maybe even Hard Rock. I think Wynn and Bellagio are for a little older crowd.

What%26#39;s the difference between a Skybox at Tao or Pure and just getting bottle service?

Tao vs. Pure--there%26#39;s people who like each for different reasons, they%26#39;re both the ultimates at this point. Pure does have the outside area, which is nice.

Although the location of Bellagio is the best, I think that four 21 year olds would like THEhotel better. I don%26#39;t think there are enough places for them to grab a bite and also to hang out. You might also want to check out Caesars. (all of this is based on my research for son #2%26#39;s 21st in December with advice from son #1)

Have them picked up at the airport in a stretch limo. Many here recommend Presidential Limo and A-1.

The admonition of staying away from the Sports Book is critical if they play college football. NCAA Bylaw 18.4.1.4 requires a college football player to execute an affidavit as a condition of eligibility to participate in the NCAA postseason football bowl games. One of the questions which requires a sworn response is: ';Since the time of your enrollment at a college institution, have you ever participated in any gambling activity that involves intercollegiate athletics or professional athletics through a bookmaker, a parlay card or any other method employed by organized gambling?';

Other NCAA rules also affect gambling by student-athletes, even if it%26#39;s legal gambling. So, PLEASE make certain all those young men know NOT to go near the Sports Books, and do not place a bet on a sporting event under any circumstances. Their scholarships and their colleges%26#39; exposure to NCAA sanctions are not worth the risk. Trust me on this one.

Someone had mentioned the Venetian and I have stayed there and found it a bit too fussy for me and I%26#39;m 27. Bellagio gives me the same feel.

I know the Palms has some sort of really huge suite. I think its the one where The Real World was filmed. That would be awesome. It also has a younger crowd. Hard Rock is another younger crowd type place.

Oh and please let us know when you decide. Sounds like its gonna be so much fun.

I agree with the others....at that age, I%26#39;d go with either The Palms or Hard Rock. Both will be filled with hot, hot, hot women (which is what 21 year olds are after), especially the Hard Rock on sundays at the pool. Money is no object? Get them a cabana on sunday at Hard Rock%26#39;s pool....I%26#39;ve heard of them going for $5K on a ';must have'; weekend.

I like the idea of limo service. Haven%26#39;t stayed at THE Hotel but it does look nice too. The room decor is masculine in a chic sort of way.

Any major club will be fine and you will have to pay the big $$ to get reserved service. If you try the waiting in line game, the doormen just pick the hot girls to go in and leave the guys hanging outside unless you grease their palms.

Be sure to try and make arrangements at a lot of the clubs to reserve something beforehand. Five 21yo males can look forward to spending way more time waiting in line to get in to clubs than in the actual clubs themselves (as opposed to if they showed up with a whole bunch of hot, young ladies. Just the way clubs are)! Especially at Pure. So, certainly, call ahead and see if you can make reservations or find out what it%26#39;d cost to guarantee they get in without having to wait so long in line it%26#39;d be his 22nd birthday by the time they got in.

I think that, if money is no object, check out the Palms. Whereas their hotels are not associated with luxury in the way Bellagio and Wynn are, a top suite will stunning and just as nice as anything Bellagio or Wynn could offer.

Palms has some absolutely amazing suites.

It%26#39;s not on the strip, but really is no further from ';the action'; than THEHotel is (which is at the extreme southern end of the strip).

Certainly, looking in to a cabana at Hard Rock%26#39;s pool is worthwhile.

Really, though... it%26#39;s hard to predict what they might like best? If they spend a ton of time in their room, then the room is so key. If they only sleep and shower there and are pretty much out running around partying every waking second, room isn%26#39;t as important. If they plan to venture around already, being a couple blocks off the strip isn%26#39;t a big deal (Palms, Hard Rock, THEHotel). If they won%26#39;t want to venture beyond walking distance, center strip is key (Bellagio).

Either way, it sounds like you guys are going to make sure they have a blast.

I must be missing something - since when do college football teams play games in the spring?? Or is it like a scrimmage kind of thing?
