So if you WERE going to bring your kids...

would you stay at Luxor or Orleans? I know this is a controversial topic and I%26#39;m not looking to start trouble. I went in Dec for the first time and stayed at the Luxor and liked it fine. I am just curious about if the Orleans might be a little better for kids. We may rent a car for a day to show them the Hoover Dam.

By the way - they%26#39;re all boys 16, 7 %26amp; 18 months.

Disclaimer - we will be in our room by 10pm not wandering the strip in the middle of the night, we will not be roaming through smoky casinos, I don%26#39;t drink alcohol and when I went last gambled VERY little.

The reason for Vegas is we fly free there - can%26#39;t beat that. :)

So if you WERE going to bring your kids...

Orleans, but DO go to luxor and do the ridefilms, the imax, and look around-definitely a fun day!

So if you WERE going to bring your kids...

Luxor. Only because you aren%26#39;t so isolated...

I usually say Orleans, because they have the bowling ally and a movie theatre, along with the arcade. Gives the kids more options to not be bored. Although the 18 month old might not find a ball he/she can lift, lol.

Orleans also has a suite with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and a shuttle to the Barbary Coast on the strip.

Have fun.

If you stay at Orleans, you should rent a car for the entire trip, otherwise, for location Luxor would be a better choice. (never stayed at Luxor before).

My kids been to LV 5 times already, and going for number six in March (age 7 and 5 now). My word of advise is to get 2 Nintendo DS for your older boys. I would also recommend backing up the DS games, so that you don%26#39;t have to worry about losing the games during your travel, somthing like the M3 lite with the passcard 3. (cost about $140 for the backup, and $140 for the DS lite). One game I would recommend is Mario Karts, the boys can play head to head (the DS is Wifi, so it%26#39;s wireless and can work over 20 feet no problem), and will entertain them for hours. You can also go onto the internet and download games for the DS to ';try out'; (there is over 800 games), and see if they like the games, if your boys end up liking the games, you should go out and purchase the game :-)

For your 18 months, I recommend that you go out and buy a portable DVD player, and again back up your DVD%26#39;s, or borrow some children DVD%26#39;s from your local library.

When are you planning on going to Vegas?

There are a few T/S up the street from the ORLEANS that would accommodate your needs.

They offer Free shuttle to and from the strip.
