we have it narrowed down to the L.V. Hilton and Harrah%26#39;s. we like both hotels, we%26#39;ll have a rental car so we don%26#39;t mind staying off the strip. has anyone stayed at both? which one would you recommend? help us decide! thank you!!!

Car or no car, if this is a first-time visit I%26#39;d go with a Strip location.
I%26#39;ve stayed at both, and consider the Hilton marginally better than Harrah%26#39;s. But I%26#39;d still go with Harrah%26#39;s unless you%26#39;ve already been to Las Vegas before.
As far as the actual rooms go, Hilton is better. Stayed at both and Harrahs is like being in a box. More entertainment right around Harrahs as well.
Should read but there is more entertainment around Harrahs.
Even if you have a car Harrahs wins for location. Ask for a Carnival Tower Room or Newly Renovated room when checking in and do not take less. There is so much action in that area of the strip.
Having a rental car does remove the biggest disadvantage of the Hilton. Nevertheless, if the price is the same, I%26#39;d probably pick Harrah%26#39;s. Otherwise, I%26#39;d go with whichever is cheaper.
