I haven't been to Vegas in over 10 years . . . I feel old.

My husband and I were married in Vegas in %26#39;92. We went back a number of times, but it has been 10 years since our last trip. I%26#39;m starting to think about going back. From what I see on TV or read about, it seems that Las Vegas has become a much younger crowd with a lot of trendy night clubs. 15 years ago I wouldn%26#39;t have had any problems keeping up with the younger crowd, but now I%26#39;m feeling old. (Staying awake until 10:00pm is quite an accomplishment these days.)

What hotels, restaurants, shows and clubs would you recommend for a couple in their mid-40%26#39;s to go to? We are not rowdy, and I would like to consider being budget conscience. No drinks for $20 each, but also no breakfast buffets with canned corned beef hash - somewhere in the middle.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

there have been several posts about nightlife for 40+ folks. In fact, just search 40+ on the main forum page and you%26#39;ll get some hits on down the page. As far as eats, I will let others expound, but there are plenty of midrange options and usually one or two at each main property. the cheapovegas dot com site has some brutally honest reviews and they also give an idea of how pricey the eateries are, as well as review the hotels and the shows. Good resource.

We%26#39;re your age - we NEVER feel old in Vegas. We don%26#39;t do the club thing, so really can%26#39;t help you there, but there are still all ages, all walks of life. We actually feel young there, young and carefree....:)

I have children your age - and I never feel old.

do what you want, when you want.

I%26#39;m ten years older than you, and I%26#39;ve never felt old or uncomfortable in Vegas. It%26#39;s why we love this place. Anyone can go and have a great time here.

Follow this forum for a few weeks, and most of your questions about hotels, dining, and drinking can be answered almost daily.

Many hotels from the Wynn to Mandalay Bay you%26#39;d really like. Many new ones since the last time you were there.

Some have said the Mirage has a range around 40 for it%26#39;s guests. But you can be happy at many hotels here.

Plenty of dining choices get brought up everyday here.

Best shows are always brought up, too.

I don%26#39;t do the club scene, but there are many choices that I%26#39;m sure you would enjoy.

I get most of my drinks while I play the slots for the price of a tip.

Here%26#39;s one suggestion ( 100%26#39;s are available on this forum)

Stay at the MGM. Dine at the Palm next to Caesars. Go to Mandalay Bay and see MamaMia before it leaves Vegas. Then go to Harrahs and see Rita Rudner for clean hysterical humor. Drive down to South Point for a great buffet breakfast for somewhere around $7.

You%26#39;re going to LOVE Vegas, again.

Go to Sam%26#39;s Town. It%26#39;s a great place and most people are in your age demographic. It has a great lunch and dinner buffet and is very reasonable. If you go mid week off season most people are older (can you say retired?) no matter what you see on tv.

Thank you for all of your suggestions! I will start planning the trip.

lizz - we were there last march and i hadnt been for at least 6 yrs. and yes, times have changed - we are now married w/ 2 kids and go to bed early, etc..........as it sounds like you do.

we had a blast! so much fun. we did not adjust to the time change though. we went to bed by 10 and were up for the day at approx 3:45 which was very entertaining i might add..

have fun
