Dinner for Mom's 60th Surprise Birthday

Hi!

I was wondering about suggestions for dinner for my mom%26#39;s surprise 60th birthday party. Her sisters are flying in to surprise her and we wanted to find a nice place with excellent food to eat. It%26#39;s not until August, but thought I would brainstorm early in the game. We will be staying at TheHotel at Mandalay Bay. Thanks!

I don%26#39;t know what price range you%26#39;re looking at, but I would suggest a restaurant at Bellagio with a view of the fountains as a cool special surprise for a 60th birthday. Check out Prime, Olives, or Picasso.

I guess not too expensive and not too cheap-maybe something like the $29-$40 range?

Ok, those places I just listed are on the too-high side then. Olives is the closest to affordable. Menu can be viewed online here:

You might consider Mon Ami Gabi at Paris - good view of the fountains from the patio seating. Ate there for our anniversary last spring, total bill was around $120 for two which included appetizers, wine, main course, and dessert and tip.

I%26#39;ll let some of the foodies throw out more suggestions :)

Thanks, this is really helpful :)

Glad to help! The other thing to note is that reservations can%26#39;t be made for the patios at some/any(?) of these places, however, you can show up and ask to wait for a seat out there. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservations and were seated on the patio by the time of our original reservation.

Great-thanks again!

How about Mon Ami Gabi at Paris? Or if you want a great view, check out Alize at the Palms.

A much cheaper idea would be to wait until she falls asleep in the hotel chair then pour some gravey down the front of her t-shirt. When she wakes up say ';boy what a lovely dinner that was , hope you enjoyed it.'; She will see the gravy and think she went out for a lovely dinner but forgot about it !

job done

i would say maggianos across form the wynn 30 bucks per person served family style

MIX at the top of TheHotel.

Fantastic food,service and views.

John.
