I hate to ask - Strat resort fee?

I know everyone is beginning to charge an ';resort fee';. In fact I responded to a guy%26#39;s post a few weeks back about the same but..

What is included in Strat Resort fee for $5? I need access to a business center or internet in my room, are either covered??

You might be better off actually calling the hotel to ask your question rather than getting feedback from people that may be guessing.

Nothing%26#39;s included in the resort fee - it%26#39;s just a way for them to bilk you out of a little more money. Initially, the reason they used was an anticipated increase in electricity prices (due to the power crisis in CA),

Business center, Wi-Fi, etc. is a separate fee.

Actually, the Strat does include one cool thing in the resort fee: a free ride up the Tower! It%26#39;s only good from 10am-Noon, but the lines are short. I went up each day when I stayed there two years ago.

Otherwise, it%26#39;s the same old stuff: access to the pool and fitness center, 2-for-1 show tickets, coupon book, etc.

But couldn%26#39;t they have just included admission for hotel guests, without making this part of the ';resort fee?'; And, isn%26#39;t it not free, but rather, $5? How much is admission if you%26#39;re not staying in the hotel?

I totally agree that Resort fees are a rip off. So are the energy surcharges, automatic telephone fees and any other ways they gouge a few more dollars out of you. We can%26#39;t escape them, but at least the Strat includes something useful.

Tower admission is $9.95 for Adults, and $6 for Seniors, Kids 4-12, local residents, and Hotel Guests.
