ALADDIN - getting any better?

We have stayed at the Aladdin for the past 5-6 years every spring or summer. Last summer was the worst experience...construction everywhere (casino, lobby etc..) We like it there - the location is the best and the rooms are very nice.

Question- has it gotten any better? We are ready to book again, but do not want to deal with the mess again. Thanks!

ALADDIN - getting any better?

I was there last June, and the construction posed no problem. But I love the aladdin, so I will tell you, the contruction is terrible, go elsewhere

( I like to keep demand and rates low at my favorite affordable luxury places. The MonteCarlo is terrible too, because of the construction next door. avoid it like the plague)

ALADDIN - getting any better?

does anyone know of a possible completion date? or when this phase will be done and the next started? any updates?

i%26#39;m debating staying there at the start of april and would love to know what to expect.

I am going Feb 15 to 19 and as far as I know only the exterior front of the Aladdin is under construction right now. It can%26#39;t be that bad if they just had the pageant there, can it???

some of the more common compliants i%26#39;ve heard are lack of interior directional signing and it being inconvenient getting to the strip.

borh are more nuisances than anything else.

How can it be inconvenient to get to the strip? It is on the strip. I was there in March and inspite of the construction there were plenty of signs and plenty of people to give directions.

Huh? It%26#39;s across the street from the Bellagio, inconvenient to what? North end of the strip maybe?

inconvenient getting out of the hotel and onto the strip. the main entrance isn%26#39;t open.

During our visit last week, we were told the grand opening is in March. Hard to believe, but that%26#39;s what they told us!

Neither front entrance is open. the mall entrances are open but. If the fire alarm went off, in the casino, I would hate to try to find the exit. the south exit is blocked by a bunch of slot machines. and good luck finding the north exit just to get into the mall area. the security guards did not know how to exit to the north. yes there is still construction in the casino toward PF changs. nw corner. who knows what Planet Hollywood is dreaming of.

The mezzanine is another story. The poker room is just in the middle of wide open space along with more slots and the players club. there is an escalator going up and one going down but I did not see anyt stairs anywhere.

Its as if they do not want you to find your way out of the casino. the whole outside front has been torn up by excavators and it seems they are putting a higher wall up toward the swim pools.

thanks to all for the info...how were the rooms? any change or still the ';arabian nights'; theme?

Also, are the table minimums the same? ex - is BJ still a $10 min.?
