Some of the good centrally located hotels in LV include the Mirage, Venetian, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Wynn, TI, etc. Check a hotel map of the strip at lasvegas.com. It will help you very much.

After you get an idea of what hotel you want, check out the reviews of the hotel at Tripadvisor, but most importantly the candid travellers photos. These are true, unprofessional, real images of what the hotel is like. It helped aided me in making hotel decisions.... To me it was more important than the reviews because some people might give a good review because of the style whilst others don%26#39;t.

Also, for Venetian, don%26#39;t think about any room changing to a ';two Bedroom'; suite or a room change from the Venezia to Venetian tower. You will be extremely dissapointed about the long walk, and if the room change isn%26#39;t right (like what they did to me...check my review) you will just be plain furious. Other than that, it is a good hotel.

Of the three you mentioned I would recommend the Flamingo. It has one of the best locations, even more central than the Mirage. It is reasonably priced and I like the casino. Alladin is in a good location but undergoing construction so that might affect your stay. Don%26#39;t know anything about the Monte Carlo but not a fan of the casino, too boring.

Hope that helps.

Drummer,

Depends on your budget. I would say the nicest hotels centre strip are Caesar%26#39;s, Bellagio or Paris, but also the most expensive.

After that I would recommend the Flamingo or Bally%26#39;s.

Earlier poster had some great advice. Look up the hotels, read reviews and look at pictures from us TripAdvisor members.

Have a great trip and happy anniversary!

Hi Drummer, have you tried booking directly with the Mirage? 1(800)627-6667. I just punched in your dates on their website and it looks like there are rooms available if you have your heart set on Mirage (however the rates are a little higher than normal - over $2000 for 8 nights for a deluxe (basic) room) Treasure Island right next door has a strip room for $249 per night for those nights. We%26#39;ve stayed at both for our 25th and 26th anniversaries, and I think you%26#39;ll enjoy either of them.

Of those your agent offered I%26#39;d choose Aladdin. They are doing construction, but it hasn%26#39;t impacted the rooms and the casino %26amp; registration areas appear to to be pretty much done.

The Flamingo may be a good option too, but since I haven%26#39;t stayed there I can%26#39;t really vouch for it. The location is definitely very good.

Monte Carlo would make me nervous because of all of the nearby construction. Many of the recent reviews on this site haven%26#39;t been very good.

Have you given any thought to booking your room directly? That might give you more options. One major benefit to booking directly is that if you book and rates to go down you can have your rates adjusted or cancel %26amp; rebook without any kind of fee as long as changes are made prior to the hotel%26#39;s 48-72 hour requirement.

I%26#39;d agree that a central location is really ideal for a first trip and that looking at a map is a good step, just don%26#39;t start thinking the strip properties all look so close together that it doesn%26#39;t matter much. Good luck with your plans.

I would select Aladdin based on those three. Can they get you into TI? TI is right next door to Mirage and is a great property. I would say if it is your first time and TI and Aladdin are not available- I would go with Flamingo over Monte Carlo based on the center strip location.

Of all the strip center hotels I much prefer paris- it is priced about the same as mirage, maybe a little higher, rooms are comparable. the casino has a nice open feel, high ceiling, not smoky. Lots of nice eating, the buffet is one of the best, and mon ami gabi, right on the strip with outside seating available(usually a wait) is great. We almost always stay at paris, have stayed at mirage, ti, bellagio, venetian, and monte carlo. The current construction should rule out aladdin/planet hollywood, it is a mess getting in and out. Have also stayed at harrah%26#39;s it is nice but not as nice as paris.

Not sure why you can%26#39;t get the Mirage. I just checked the dates on their website and althoug expensive, there is availability.

Order of preference is Aladdin, MonteCarlo, Flamingo

Flamingo is the oldest, it%26#39;s more ';central'; but that is meaningless, you will walk up and down the whole strip and see everything anyway. Central means you are near more shopping malls and the largest luxury casinos hotels.

Aladdin and MC are right between the south strip themed mega-resorts, which you don%26#39;t want to miss,

and the central luxury giants. Their rooms are better than Flam, as are their restaurants. Aladdin is by far the newest with the most luxury feel to it, nicest bathrooms, and attached to a shopping mall

The construction does not rule out Aladdin. Not only is it almost complete, but it never caused any difficulty, even at it%26#39;s peak. The construction in fact is one more point in it%26#39;s favor, as you will find a spectacular newly remodeled casino area
