I%26#39;m staying at the Gold Coast Hotel in September for 10 nights %26amp; having read all the traveller reviews about the hotel there doesn%26#39;t seem to be any comments about the swimming pool, has anyone spent any time around the pool %26amp; if so what did you think of it?
Also, is it true that they have beer/lager on draught? I hope they do.
Gold Coast Hotel
10 Nights in Vegas? I would be broke and crazy by the end. I love Vegas but that is too much time. Even beer on draught and a nice pool will not make 10 days bearable.
Why don%26#39;t you take a couple of days (like the weekend, when Vegas is expensive) and explore some of the National Parks of the southwest. It would be a shame to spend a week and half only looking at slot machines and buffets.
Gold Coast Hotel
I have not used it, but the Gold Coast pool is reputed to be dinky. Travellers looking for a nice pool would generally choose to stay elsewhere. Orleans is a similar property owned by the same group and has a nicer pool, though it%26#39;s farther from the Strip. On the strip, you might look at Flamingo which is not too expensive and has a great pool. Downtown, Golden Nugget%26#39;s pool is brand new.
Any bar that%26#39;s worth a damn has beer on tap. The question is, what kind of beer? You are not going to find Sammy Smith%26#39;s on tap in Vegas; then again, I couldn%26#39;t find Sammy Smith%26#39;s on tap in bloody London, either.
This will be my 3rd 10 night vacation in Vegas, my wife %26amp; I love it, we%26#39;ve stayed on the strip previously but the friends we are travelling with this time wanted to stay in the Gold Coast ( Bingo, Bowling etc), thats why I was enquiring about the pool area %26amp; I was hoping for some remarks from someone who had stayed there.
Hello Welsh.
Will be staying at the Gold Coast also from 16th Sept and hopefully we can share a beer or fifty.lol
Have never stayed there before but after extensive research I%26#39;m led to believe the pool is pretty small by American standards but plenty of available sunbeds............. I%26#39;m sure it will be suffice to us Brits though who consider the bath to be Olympic standard size.
Judging by the reviews I%26#39;ve read on this and other sites I don%26#39;t think we%26#39;ve made a bad choice of hotel re quality and value.
Good luck.
I stayed at the Gold Coast this past Sept. You%26#39;re right, the pool is quite small. But I had no problem relaxing there. Too bad there%26#39;s no bar by it.
No pints at the GC bars, take the shuttle down to the Orleans and visit Brendans Pub for the good stuff,or go across the road from there to McMullens.
Welsh and Mick
I%26#39;m staying at the Gold Coast for 14 nights in September. Flying out on the 19th.
Hopefully see you there.
Hello MickCFC
We%26#39;ll be there from the 9th Sept to 19th Sept, you can%26#39;t miss us cos we%26#39;ll be the party of 4 with a daily hangover catching some rays by the pool.
If we don%26#39;t meet up, have a good one.
