Promo code - platinum Hotel

Hey there!

I%26#39;m booking a sister%26#39;s weekend to Vegas in March. The Platinum Hotel looks like exactly what we are looking for. Nice, spa services, 1 block from the strip.

Does anyone have a promo code or know where I can get a cheaper room rate?

Also - anyone have a good/bad experience with this place?

THANKS!

Be aware that it%26#39;s a very long block from the Strip. It will take 10-15 minutes to walk and it%26#39;s not the greatest neighborhood after dark.

Thanks for that information!!!!

We have decided to go with the MGM Grand. Your information just clinches it for me!!!

Blagger, everytime someone mentions the Platinum you poo poo it saying its in a bad area or that its a long walk, everything in vegas is a long walk, now this person you got booking the MGM which is a 10-15 min walk inside the hotel to their room not to mention its at the south end of the strip and further away than te Platinum is. Also unless they are staying in the signature (and paying alot more) I bet their rooms won%26#39;t be nearly as nice.

yea but you sell for the place OCT, HA.

My question for all those that tell you that is why when someone says how great the Wynn is or posts in every forum how fantastic the Venetian is of how they feel they need to share how the service room or whatever their favorite hotels are they don%26#39;t get called into question. Just because its a condo hotel you must have to sell for it or be an owner, you can%26#39;t just like the place.

Givn that am I expecting to stay at the Venetian(I have before it was ok not great) or Bellagio or Wynn, no I got a great deal for a weekend night and for the location what it has in it even if its half as good as what I have read from people that have stayed there and travel sites that have revieed it I will be completly satisfied. I couldn%26#39;t stay anywhere close to that nice of a place for 139 a night on a saturday in march. Couldn%26#39;t even get most places due to them not allowing a saturday arrival for 1 night. Ti was 229 for the same night. so I will be happy paying almost half, then stay at Ti for the other 2 nights at 79 a night.

No Molly, you are not going to want the location of the Platinum. Definitely MGM will be a better move. Not only for the easy/safe walking to NYNY/Excalibur/Tropicana corner but also you are well connected to monorail for further up the strip and also the free Manadalay Bay/Luxor monorail.

Platinum is close to the strip in theory - but the reality is that it%26#39;s not really connected.

Khisanth, I%26#39;m not trying to %26#39;poo poo%26#39; anything. As I%26#39;ve never set foot in the Platinum I%26#39;m unable to comment on how good or otherwise a hotel it is. All I%26#39;m doing is warning people who%26#39;ve read that it%26#39;s a block from the Strip that if they%26#39;re not familiar with that part of Vegas, it%26#39;s a block that%26#39;s a LOT bigger than they might imagine and that they%26#39;re not going to be a couple of minutes walk away from the heart of the action as they may suspect.

Also whilst the Platinum%26#39;s location is pretty safe, the walk along Flamingo to get there from the Strip isn%26#39;t the greatest after dark. By all means stay there, just be aware of all the facts.
