Are there any cabs other than at airport, and is there a parking fee? Do you need to have valet get your car? Just want to go out of town for one day, seems expensive to rent a car for a week any suggestions

Cabs are easily found at the casinos and if you are off the beaten path, just make sure you have a number for a cab company with you. Parking garages are all over the place and the valet is free (tip strongly suggested) at the strip casinos.
A weekly car rental can be pricey, but make sure you add up all your transportation costs before making a final decision. Cab fare adds up more quickly than you think and the what Deuce and monorail save you in cash usually costs you in time.

As I understand it, taxis are not permitted by ordinancet o pick up passengers on the street, so whenever you need a taxi , you go to the nearest casino/hotel taxi stand where they are usually waiting or the door staff will summon one ( even if you aren%26#39;t a guest). Taxis are plentiful and we have never felt the need to rent a car during our trips. I;m sure renting just for the day you want to go out of town would be a viable plan.
You can rent a car for the day. You don%26#39;t have to rent for the whole week. All casinos offer free parking and valet costs only a tip.
most hotels will have on site rental cars from various companies parking and valet is free but the valet will remember if you dont tip them (be prepared to wait)
You can rent a car for just one day if you feel you won%26#39;t be needing it the rest of the week. Parking is free in Vegas- although you should tip when you get your car back if you valet park. For some hotels it is advisable to valet park since their lots and garages might not be convenient. With other hotels self park works fine. If you rent a car from the hotel-most car desks close at about 5PM. The ones at the airport are open 24 hours a day. Once you make a reservation (and you should book it in advance) keep checking the website. Sometimes the rates go down and you can cancel and rebook-even more than once.
Since you can%26#39;t hail a cab off the street you have to go to a hotel%26#39;s cab stand. Cabs are plentiful on the strip.
What hotel will you be at, I could let you know the closest most convenient car pick-up and drop-off.
If you rent the car on your final day, you could return it to the airport, saving you the cab fare that day.
Go Pats!
We will be staying at Renaissance. What is the closest car rental agency where we can rent a car and then drop it off at the airport.
Hertz has a car rental desk at the Renaissance. Hertz is not known for having the cheapest rates in Vegas. I would try dollar. com and see if you can get the car at one of the strip hotels.
joesource-thanks for the input - will be staying at the imperial
basslady
IP has a Hertz desk- as does Flamingo, Harrahs, Caesars Palace and Ballys.
Bellagio has Dollar-as does NYNY and Mirage.
