Geez, I%26#39;m not supposed to arrive in Vegas until the end of October and yet I%26#39;m already planning my trip after that.
Anyway, I%26#39;m thinking of splurging on myself for four nights in January and getting a suite. I%26#39;m looking to stay somewhere new as I%26#39;ve stayed at the MGM (2), Luxor %26amp; the Rio (2). I%26#39;m a Total Rewards member and by January I should be a platinum member and I%26#39;m thinking I%26#39;ll have better luck getting a suite at a reasonable price at one of the other Harrah properties. I was also thinking of a suite at the Monte Carlo, but I haven%26#39;t built up enough points there so I%26#39;m sure I%26#39;d have to pay full price.
Any suggestions on suites and ball park pricing for the end of January?
Suites
Dudette, you could can probably get into a Lemans or a Calais Suite at Paris for pretty cheap. I personally like the Calais...900 sq feet! Living room and a TV that comes out of a cabinet and rises up at the foot of your bed automatically. Nice and very private.
Suites
I LOVED my Bellagio King Suite. It was a beautiful 2 room suite, with 3 washrooms! These will run you in the $400s in Jan for a weekday stay.
TomVegas - Paris may be an idea. Any clue on the approximate cost/night? I%26#39;m just looking for a real rough idea is all.
Well if you can make Platinum by January what you do is book a standard room and upon check in or by calling the day before you ask for a suite upgrade and they will usually quote you somewhere in the realm of $75 more per night for a Leman%26#39;s or $135 more per night for a Calais. But when you consider what you get as far as ammenities go, it%26#39;s worth it....And then upon check out, just apply your comp points to your bill to knock it down...
I went in Feb and got a Calais suite for $135 per night. My initital room was comped but called the day before and was able to get into the Calais. Awesome room. Wife loved it...His and hers bathrooms. And by the time I left, it was all free because of my play...But, as it were, I am a Diamond Member so it may be a little more for Platinum???
I%26#39;m thinking of heading down to AC in September so I may or may not hit platinum level then, for sure in October when I%26#39;m at the Rio. I hit the tables more than the machines so it really depends on how they rate me.
I think I%26#39;ll give the Paris a try. Thanks for the info.
BTW, TomVegas, did you upgrade your room through reservations or did you ask a host? I%26#39;ve seen so many discussions on here about hosts and to be honest, I don%26#39;t think my level of play really warrants a host and I don%26#39;t want to embarrass myself. Generally I%26#39;ll play the $15 min if it%26#39;s available, but if I have to I%26#39;ll play a $25 min. Really depends on how the cards are falling - if I%26#39;m lucky at a $15 table I may push my luck and start betting $25/hand.
Well you are right. $15 a hand won%26#39;t get you a host. But you can call into the hotel directly and ask to speak to the front desk and they%26#39;ll help ya. I do have a host, but I also have a connection with a FDA at the airport who also takes care of me..I met her a couple years ago before I got a host when I was checking in, tipped her a $20 for her trouble and she gave me her card and have stayed in touch with her ever since...
Just out of curiosity...what is an FDA?
Front Desk Agent
Has anyone stayed in one of the Paris suites recently? Have they been updated?
