Tahoe in April

We will be staying 1 night at the Hyatt and 2 night s at The Resort at Squaw Creek. Would like some recommendations on eating, shopping and night life. This is just a quick trip to plan for a convention later in September. Will not be sking, but maybe snowmobiles...a fun bar to grab a burger and a beer. We would like to check out some nice places but would also like to see the local favorites!

Tahoe in April

Wow the Hyatt Lone Eagle Grille is right on the lake and is quite good.

In Squaw Valley I really love Plumpjacks for good food.

Fun times can be had at Garwoods in Carnelian Bay. Great food and views.

I second, third, fourth suzie-travels recommendation of Hyatt Lone Eagle Grille! Make this your first stop. Then you may have time for additional visits there. Talk about a bar!! And fine dining, too!!

You don%26#39;t ever have to leave the Hyatt for night life. As everyone says, the Lone Eagle Grill down at the lake, has the most fantastic bar and restaurant with huge windows and fireplace. Go for sunset cocktails. In the hotel is Cutthroat%26#39;s Saloon for casual dining in a western atmosphere and also live entertainment.

Located across the street are other really good restaurants: La Fondue, China Wok, Austin%26#39;s and Tomatoe%26#39;s and many more a mile away in the village.

Thanks for all the great info. Do you have any suggestions for Breakfast?

Yes, Austin%26#39;s is the best place for breakfast, though Hyatt%26#39;s High Sierra Cafe breakfast buffet is good. We also have a lunch and dinner at Austin%26#39;s while spending the week there. Casual menu.
