When leaving your luggage with the bellman do you tip then or when you pick up your bags or when they are delievered to your room or all of the above?

I know that at the MGM they make a point of friendly reminding you that the person taking your bag for you won%26#39;t be the same as the one who delivers it back to you. Hint, hint, I want my tip now, then tip the other guy as well. I usually cough up a buck or two then. Some people do the same with valet car parkers, too, in hopes that the parker won%26#39;t bury their car in the back of the lot/garage.

Both would be best for the bellamn, but it is acceptable to only tip upon pick-up and they know this...

I%26#39;m tipping for the service, one time. When I pick %26#39;em up.

Note this is different than if they meet you at your cab or limo and take your bags inside for you, then I give them a couple of bucks for doing so. But if I%26#39;m the one doin%26#39; the totin%26#39;, I%26#39;m not doin%26#39; the tippin%26#39;.
