Beginning of March - who so expensive

I am looking to book a room for one night on March5. Everything is so expensive for tht night. Am I missing something? I can%26#39;t seem to find any conventions that are in town, I know march madness doesn%26#39;t begin yet, so..........?

Anyone have any ideas.

Nightclub %26amp; Bar Convention %26amp; Trade Show (38,000 delegates) is on March 6-7. I guess most of those attending will be arriving the previous day.
