I%26#39;m not a big drinker. I like to have wine, beer or margarita. Would like to try something new. Any suggestions for enjoying my upcoming LAS trip?
Cocktails, anyone?
mojitos (mow-hee-toe) and varying martinis are ';hot'; right now.. chocolate martinis are good.. There are a thousand drinks to try, but the flamingo and trop make good frozen drinks.
Do you happen to have any family in WV or Kimisee, FL by the name of Tims42?
Cocktails, anyone?
Thanks for the tip. What exactly is a mojito?
No relation.
A bacon martini at the Double Down Saloon. It%26#39;ll change your life forever......:)
Yummy Strawberry Daiquries at Bellagio, White Russians at Ceasers, Captain Morgan and Diet Coke at Bar at TI (they use Private Stock).

Just as a matter of interest - if a bar/lounge is described as a cocktail bar/lounge, will we still be able to get ';normal'; drinks, ie. glass of wine, bottle of Bud?
karen1967, yes you will.
They have great Martinis at the Vodka Bar at Red Square (and besides the Martinis they make a great Bloody Mary drink, I think it%26#39;s called a Russian Mary or a Bloody Russian- one of the two, it%26#39;s made with their own pepper-infused Vodka.) Caramel at Bellagio makes some really good Martinis (the Oreo shake Martini in particular.) I had some good drinks at Centifuge at MGM, they have several infused liquors that are really good, I remember one in particular that was made with cherries and powdered sugar. At peppermill they have a great drink called the Scorpion, it%26#39;s huge and they have 2 versions of it, one of whuch has icecream. One drink that I%26#39;m meaning to try is at Voo Doo Lounge, can%26#39;t remember the name but has something to do with witchcraft or something like that. At the Venetian there%26#39;s a bar in the Mall I think it%26#39;s called the Venice Bar and they make some drinks that have alcohol infused sorbets, very good. La Salsa has some great frozen drinks. 13 Martinis at Hooters has some interesting martinis. And if you want something flashy they some cool drinks at Quarks bar at the Hilton.
Thanks blagger - I apologise if my questions seem a little obvious to you lot but I am trying to prepare myself for the differences between the UK and the US. Also, in the UK it is usual to go into a bar and walk up to the counter and order your own drinks, pay for them and take them back to your table. I get the impression that in the US you take a table and someone comes to take your drinks order from you. Is this correct?
it depends, but most of the establishments have servers that will take care of you.. I enjoy sitting at the bar though, as that is where the action is and the best jokes!
