Las Vegas

Going to Vegas to suprise husband - want to take him to boxing match (Berrera, Mayweather, etc.) - is it best to stay @ hotel where fight is located or is it better to stay away from that hotel (is the cost savings worth it?) We are pretty flexible on timing - but it will probably have to be over a weekend due to fight schedules - help. Never been to Vegas before . . .

Las Vegas

No need to stay at the hotel where the fight is unless it%26#39;s the hotel you are wanting to stay at, you are going to want to visit most of the hotels anyway. Just try to figure out what it is you are looking for in a hotel- good service? nice view? price? spacious rooms? central location? good nightlife? What is important to you and what is your budget? Once you figure those things out then people on this board can offer advise as to what hotel might meet your needs. Most people recommend central hotels for firsttimers, Bellagio or Caesars Augustus tower if you can afford it. Paris if you want midrange prices and Barbary Coast and Imperial Palace if you are really on a budget. Now if you are really wanting to make fight night a special night for him you can always work with the concierge of your hotel and the concierge of the hotel where the fight is (sorry that I don%26#39;t follow boxing so I don%26#39;t know which hotel you are talking about) may have more options for you.
