We leave at 11pm but check out is at 11am. Anyone do this? What did you do with your luggage?
Late departuresAsk for a late check out then leave your bags at the bell desk ( do this whether or not you have a late check out) Tip them upon picking them up. OR book another night if t it is in your budget.
Late departuresWhy do you suggest leaving your bags at the bell desk regardless of a late check out? Is this just for convenience when you do check out?
check out you regular time. They have a baggage room at the hotels that you can leave your luggage like coat checks Then enjoy the rest of time in Vegas.
The hotel will provide you a place to store you luggage with the bellman. They give you a claim check and you can pick up you things when you are ready.
You and hundreds more will do this due to cheaper ';redeye'; flights. Additionally ask for a late check out and they normally will accomedate you.
Yes, leave them regardless, a late check out would probably be only a couple of hours. The bell desk does this all the time. They will take your name, give you a ticket and store your bags until you are ready to go. When ready to leave give the bellhop your ticket and they will bring them out as you wait for your cab. This can be done in reverse if your room is not ready when you check in, you can leave them there until you checkin and call the desk to have them brought up to your room. It is not a big deal, it will work out fine. They do this all the time!
do you tip when you leave the bags or when you pick them up or when they are delieverd to your room or all of the above?
We rarely use the bell desk, as we always book the room for the extra night (our flights leave at midnight). But we tip when we pick up the bags and that is all. We%26#39;ve never had the bags delivered to the room, but if we did, I would tip the person who delivers them as well.
Thanks for the replies!
I will tip them if they are delivered to the room. I also tip when I pick them up at the bell desk after leaving them at check-out. I have never tipped them just for leaving them at the bell desk.
Depending on how busy the hotel is, they may give you a half day rate which gives you the room until mid afternoon. We were quoted something like $25 or $30 at the Orleans so decided to pay for the extra few hours but they never did put it on our bill. I think we had the room until around 4 p.m.
