purse or fanny pack

I%26#39;m leaving in 10 days for my first time to Vegas and thought I would bring my purse that you wear like a napsack on your back. My friends who have been there say not to do this. REALLY?? I hate carrying purses on my shoulder and fanny packs remind me of something I would wear to a Gargage Sale.

I%26#39;m a woman and need to look good to yah know. What does everyone else do for purses?

There have been several long posts on this. Search purses and you will get a lot of opinions. Bottom line, do what works best for you. Do you want to carry around a big purse, wallet on a string, use pockets. backpack or the fanny pack? No one really cares when it comes down to it. Just keep in close to you at all times and beware of your surroundings.

I personally wouldn%26#39;t do either of those.. I have a small purse that has 3 little compartments which is just enough room for money, lipstick, floss, makeup mirror, cigs, cell phone and camera.. and I put it across my chest so 1 shoulder is not carrying the brunt of it. Works perfectly. I use it all the time when I know I will be out walking a lot.

I use a large Coach purse for the plane trip but then switch over to a small one once I am in the hotel. I bring only what I need for the day with me. It has a long strap that crosses my body. Anything on my back would be inconvenient and uncomfortable.

I wear my fanny pack and am proud to do so as are others here at TA. At night a small clutch type big enough for lipstick and tissues. Always have Hubby carry $$ in his front pocket. He thinks I always look good. ;-)

Security = Fanny Pack or pockets.

Purse = Puts a smile on purse snatchers face.

Not if it%26#39;s across your chest so the purse is right in front of you. :)

Personally I would not be caught dead wearing a fanny pack. God those things should be banned from the earth. Not to mention they add like 5 lbs to your waistline! I have also heard those can be ripped off your waist with a small sharp knife in seconds flat (unless you are wearing tucked in clothing over the strap.

I usually do one of those tiny purses with a long strap that goes over one arm and across my body so it sits in front and I never take it off.

Or the other option is my husband carries a money clip in his front pocket (to also avoid pick pockets) and i will throw my license on there and carry cash in my own pocket along with a lip gloss or something.

Glad i dont smoke anymore, so I dont need to worry about where to put the cigs. But if you do smoke i can see where this would be a challenge.
