Question about lower rates:

I just noticed that the rates for this weekend at CC are about $20 lower than what I reserved a room for...for the same dates. Do you think it is possible that they will match those rates for me if I notify them of it?

I thought about cancelling my reservation and re-making it, but I have a 48-hour cancellation policy.

(BTW...I%26#39;m staying Feb. 02-04)

Question about lower rates:

They will usually adjust the rates if you call and ask. Just did it for Aladdin with no problems!

Question about lower rates:

I called NYNY this morning and they adjusted my rate even though I%26#39;m within the cancelation period for this weekend (I arrive tomorrow). Saved about $45/night. Not sure if this is standard policy or if it just depends on who answers when you call though.

Yes, call!

I booked Luxor at $119 a night. Over the course of 3 weeks, I checked the website daily and it was lowered to $69 a night. I called 3 times and each time they lowered the rate without question. But ask them to send you a confirmation email with the new rate.

PS The same thing happened to my sister when she booked MGM. Rates were almost $50 cheaper by the time of her arrival.

Have fun!

Are these reservations for the weekend and did you book the rooms through the hotel or another source?

if you booked the room through the hotel there should be no problem.

but if you went through a travel agent , or room broker. the hotel can%26#39;t lower your rate

$119 a night for Luxor? ouch! Hope you have fun, come back and write a TR for us :0)

This is exactly why you should always book directly with the hotel!

you are out of luck if you did expedia, orbitz or any other third party. And booking thru the third parties eliminates getting comps on the room.

This might sound stupid, but can you please explain to me what the comps are? Can you get these even if you are not a big time gambler? How does one go about asking for these comps?
