Terribles

I will be staying at Terribles April 8-13 for the first time. I asked the same question last week and most of the replies I got were good. As long as you are not looking for more than a Holiday Inn type room, with a small casino and a pretty good restaurant, all will be well. I am looking forward to my stay at Terribles... can%26#39;t beat the $40 per night price.

Terribles

I am a fan of Terribles. It would be best if you rent a car during your trip though. It is a couple of blocks off strip on Flamingo, and the walk can be bad depending on traffic and time of day/evening.

If at all possible, request a courtyard room. The pool area is nice, with the green wrought iron fence covered in Star Jasmine. During our ten night visit last May, the jasmine was in full bloom, and oh what a wonderful smell.

Also, there are easy to find two 4 one coupons for the buffet. For Breakfast you can%26#39;t beat it for the standards - Bacon, Eggs, Coffee, Danish%26#39;s, so on and so forth. Two can eat thier fill for less then $7.00. They have Champange Brunch on Fri. %26amp; Sat. which up%26#39;s the price a few dollars, but it%26#39;s still worth it.

Terribles is actually on Paradise Rd by the intersection with Flamingo.

Thanks for the replies folks

Terribles is OK. The biggest challenge as stated is transportation. Most peole choose Terribles for budget reasons. But you have ask yourself if you are really saving money if you are having to spend an additioanal 30 or 40 per day on a a rental or taxi%26#39;s

VegasHomeBoy, I have never spent more then $15.00 a day for a Mid-Size car rental. The car allows easier movement to and from all that is is avaivable to do and see.

We enjoy seeing the natural sights and visiting Parhump, Henderson, Boulder City and the Way Off Strip Locations by day, saving the strip and downtown for evening.

Terribles for us fits the bill for a clean room by which we base our visit, plus the buffet, mostly breakfast, is more then plentiful for our needs.

We have tried many other breakfast buffets, and for us, Terribles offers what we enjoy, plus it%26#39;s a close walk across the courtyard and ride up the escalator to the buffet.

VegasHomeBoy, keep up the great responses, many of them offer a world of info:)

Perfect go back a re-read my post, your reading is selective. Operative word I used is ';IF';. I am not knocking Terribles, it has its place in the market.

VegasHomeBoy, your insight to many facits of the ';Las Vegas'; experiance are always welcome as your opinions.

I took no offence to your post as it pertained to Terribles, but thought as an act of support with hands on experiance, I would offer our knowledge as it envolves this post. My feeling for replying to this post was offer the two whom had questions some guidance in how they might want to plan thier trip. Although a rental is by far not a %26#39;Must Have%26#39;, it does offer one more freedom to explore the wonders that are Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.

Please continue to offer your opinions, wether biased or not, for any information is far better then no information at all.

Thanks Again VegasHomeBoy, and Keep Up The Great Replies :)

Perfct I agree, a rental is the way to go. You just have to be a thrifty shopper to get the deals..
