Valet Parking.

Never used VALET PARKING, so before i make myself look silly can anyone tell me about it PLEASE.

Valet Parking.

you pull in to valet wait for the valet person to come over and hand you a claim ticket and usually ask your last name then you give him/her a tip anf off your car goes!!

when you want it back you hand him/her your claim ticket wait for the car then walk over to it and tip him/her

Valet Parking.

A buck or two is plenty for a tip.

lol i agree we tip 1 but when it is hot they get double unless they are very slow strip valets make good money

Could never get my head around this one also. It seems a bit too subserveant.

Hello Isobeloffif, I must say it seems just the same to me. We are used to parking our own cars in england, but to have someone take it from us and park it for us seems quite strange. I would think that you would pull up at the Hotel entrance and someone would take it from you???

You do pull up to the hotel entrance. The valet then takes it to the parking area. It really is a simple process. It is often based upon the desire for more security rather than American laziness. You certainly do not have to use valet parking. We have a public parking area or ramp at each hotel. Just park there and walk. You will find the weather more suitable for walking than in the UK.
