Walking from Strat to Paris after midnight...safe?

Planning to see a show at Strat and walk back.

Is this recommended?

Or we could walk to the Sahara and take the monorail...but isn%26#39;t this just as bad of an area? or will there be plenty of tourists walking around at this hour?

We would take the Deuce back, but after going DT on it twice, it was always full and couldn%26#39;t take on anyone at the Strat.

SaraJames, I would not recommend walking that area after dark. The stretch that you%26#39;re talking about (from the Strat to the Sahara mono) is probably the most dangerous. Don%26#39;t risk ruining your vacation for a few bucks. Take a cab to the TI and then you can walk as much as you want.

I walked from Stratosphere to Sahara on a Sunday night around 7 or so. It was getting dark. I hated it. Crossing the streets was an adventure as we didn%26#39;t seem to have much time to cross and the cars were flying through once they got their greenlight. I%26#39;d get a Taxi and take it closer to the more civilized part of the strip.

Vegasace, it was in the subject.....show starts at 1030 so probably will leave around midnight.

Who are you going with? If you are two women alone, then no, I would take a cab. If you are going with a group of seven people including males, you should be able to walk to the Sahara and get the monorail without difficulty. Treat it like a sketchy area in any other city.

So how much would a taxi be from the Strat to TI, not more than $10.00? Why screw around at that time of night? Maybe I am making some assumptions here, but if you can afford to stay at Paris and if you can afford tickets to a show you should be able to afford a taxi ride. Then you can have an enjoyable stroll from TI back to Paris.

Of course, it is because of situations like this that I always like to rent a car in Vegas.

We have walked from mid-strip to Stratosphere in daytime and I did not like it. I would not do it at night. I don%26#39;t know about from Strat to Sahara but doesn%26#39;t sound like a good idea. Hope that helps.

From Strat to Paris is a bit far.

I have walked to Paris and Wynn and back at night. I would be reluctant to go much further on from the Wynn.

Take the Deuce bus.
